BMP2GIF is a full 32 bit program written for Windows 95/98/NT which doubles as a CGI or command line application.
As a CGI, BMP2GIF will return any bitmap accessible from
your server as a GIF image.
As a command line application, BMP2GIF will convert bitmap
files to GIF images individually or from a list.
NEW in Version 3.8x additional support for animated GIFs plus few minor bug fixes.
NEW Version 3.7 introduces support for additional graphic formats as input: bmp,dib,jif,jpeg,jpg,pbm,pcx,pgm,png,ppm,rle,tga,tif,tiff.
NEW in Version 3.6 bmp2gif introduces support for a caption/copyright notice to be printed at the bottom of the image. Settings can be defined in the bmp2gif.ini file or through the HTML tag or command line parameters.
NEW in Version 3.5 support for RLE encoding, multiple dithering methods and INI file default settings. With version 3.5 BMP2GIF introduced RLE encoding (non LZW) as default, the LZW is still available through a switch.
NEW in Version 3.0 support for drag & drop and re-sizing using
the new Width and Height switches. You can now generate 100s of images with the same size (ideal for thumbnails).
NEW in Version 2.0 support for animated GIFs in the command
line mode using new switches.
NEW in Version 1.5 support for color reduction, automatically
reduces the number of colors to less than 256 (the maximum
supported by GIF).
